We recently ran across a great post from Shay Howe's online portfolio. Although intended to be a nonprofit website design resource, we think it's also the ultimate website audit tool. The 54 one-sentence tips are broken into five parts:

Check it out. You'll be surprised at how many of these tips may not be optimized on your current site. Or, if you're just putting a new site up, you can avoid a bunch of pitfalls from the start.
